Phuket – a rainforested, mountainous island of the Andaman Sea, home to some of Thailand’s most popular beaches. Well, that’s the way it’s described on the official Phuket website. Pattaya was our first stop on our Southeast Asia trip, and while it’s not the typical “Thailand experience” of white sand beaches, palm trees, and sunset cocktails, we did find some pretty cool things to do in the area.
