Since leaving home my yoga practice has taken a backseat. In South Africa all day every day was yoga day – I was at the peak of my yoga love. Nowadays, not so much. Not by choice but as we all know life can be unpredictable. I guess that’s the beauty of it all. Life goes on, you live, you learn, you grow and you appreciate life more than you did before.
My yoga is not where I want it to be. I have taken so many steps back this year but I’m okay with that because that means I have something to work towards. This past Saturday, after not attending a yoga class for almost a month my body was craving it. I woke up early, walked out in the pouring rain, and made my way to yoga. Lying on my yoga mat at the end of that class I could not have felt more content. I felt extreme gratitude for my body and was in complete awe of my commitment and dedication to making time to pursue the things I love.
If you are willing to try then be equally as willing not to give up. If your love is worth it, if your goal is worth it, if the outcome is something that feeds your passion, don’t be swayed. Stand firmly rooted in your belief that something beautiful, great, and amazing is coming.
Moving abroad has been the greatest challenge of my life but living out of my comfort zone has taught me a lot about myself and what I truly want from life. This is me, enjoying the freedom to move, think, fee,l and create space. The best feeling in the world is to set yourself free.
Do the things that move your soul!

Yoga Love: Our work is to discover our world and then with all our
hearts give ourselves to it. Allow things to come and go, keeping
your heart as open as the sky
Yoga Love: It’s all space and energy, the act of release to gain
even more. What doesn’t work out creates room for what does.
